Job Description:

 


The Account/Financial Modeler performs financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. He/She analyzes financial data – and create financial models for decision support. Reports on financial performance and preparation for regular leadership reviews. Works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Building financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics. 

- Conducting Scenario Analysis based on macro and micro factors that will help in accessing risk.

- Ensuring accurate modeling of allocated portfolios and developing new transaction models and enhancing the existing models.

- Recommending and Implementing process for improvements to budget and prepare forecast for company.

- Identifying the key financial and non-financial risks, recommending actions for mitigation of those risks.

- Applying appropriate sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment actions.

- Updating financial models during earnings seasons and following corporate actions.

- Analyzing and identifying data requirements related derivation rules and model tracking.

- Valuation of Companies.

- Capital Structure Analysis.

- Comparable Company Analysis

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

- A first degree with second class upper and above in a discipline relevant to the position

- Post-graduate certification will be a plus

- Solid knowledge of statistical methods applied in economy

- Genuine interest in finance, statistics and technology

- Sensitivity to details, accuracy in everyday work 

- Confident command of English

- Background in revenue forecasting or macroeconomic planning is an advantage

- Programming experience is an advantage

- Experience with SAS or similar technologies is an advantage

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)

- M.Sc. or MBA is an added advantage
