Job Description:
The general manager directs and coordinates activities of one or more departments, such as operations or sales, or a major division of the business organization and aids chief administrative officers in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
- Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development.
- Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
- Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for set goals
- Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures.
- Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
- Sort Managers to meet goals and to help with their professional development.
- Responsible for interviewing lead and manager candidates.
- Evaluate the results of the operation regularly and systematically reports findings to the General Manager.
- Analyze, reorganize and prioritizes training and labor law compliance.
- Ensure that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in management or a closely related field
- Good experience in administration
- At least 2 years of experience as a manager or assistant manager
- Demonstrable financial planning and strategy competence
- Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills
- Performance management skills
- Strategic planning
- Quality management
- Proven financial planning skills
