To assist in evidence-based activities aimed at facilitating access to security-compromised areas in North Eastern Nigeria – particularly in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States. Specific attention is to be given to those areas where access is required to ensure that programme delivery is conducted in as safe and secure a manner as possible, within the scope of the UN Framework of Accountability and UN Security Management System. Additionally, to support the Security Professional to facilitate programme delivery in inaccessible areas. The Local Security Assistant may also be required to liaise with key Army officials in order to negotiate local access for programme activities.

Collaborates across the programme(s) to ensure gender mainstreaming. Ensures that monitoring mechanisms are in place to track progress towards goals and targets in Education.
