Job Position: Account Officer

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Responsibilities
Stock Accounting:


  • Manage and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate regular stock reports for management review.

Bookkeeping:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and review financial statements.

Use of Accounting Software:

  • Proficient use of [Specify Accounting Software] to streamline financial processes.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data entered into the system.
  • Provide training and support to team members on the use of accounting software.

General Accounting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Accounts Receivable and Payable:

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payment and collection.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer statements.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external use.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations.

Audit Support:

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency inAccounting Software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
