We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Carry out reconciliation of bank Account positions.
• Raise journal entries to update inflow and outflow of funds
• Carry out performance tracking for market facing staff members.
• Ensure monthly remittances of tax deductions for both Federal and Lagos State Tax Authorities.
• Prepare monthly depreciation schedule of the organisation’s fixed assets and monthly amortization of outstanding prepared expenses.
• Maintain the schedule of prepaid expenses of the organisation.
• Appropriate coding of transaction/expense voucher in line with the proper accounting system.
• Daily review of general ledgers for accuracy.
• Prepare, monitor and control the performance of departmental budgets in accordance with the strategic plan of the organisation.

Relevant Skills, Qualification, Attributes & Experience

• HND / University Degree in Banking, Accounting, Economics or other related field
• Associate Member of Professional body e.g. ACCA, ICAN is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial services.
• IFRS experience strongly desired.
• Knowledge of the insurance regulations and laws.
• Proficiency in Computer Applications Excel /Microsoft Office/Banking Applications
• Good written and oral communication.
