Basma Agric Processing Limited is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Kano

Role

• The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial matters including keeping all the records of financial transaction.

Key Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining books of Account
• He/She will handle all Company payments and perform reconciliation
• He/She will liaise and manage the Company's relationship with its Bankers
• He/She will ensure Internal Control system is in being adhered to
• He/She will liaise with the Company's external Auditors during the annual audit exercise
• He/She will liaise with the Human Resources Management unit for payments and remittances
• He/She will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies
• Perform other functions as assigned by Management.

Qualification & Experience

• The candidate should possess a suitable Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance/ Economics / Business Administration or related field
• The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience working in an Accounting role in an organized private sector
• The candidate should be able to demonstrate Accounting Standard knowledge eg IFRS
• The candidate should possess leadership and management skills, result-oriented
• Candidates with Professional qualifications like ICAN, ACCA will have an advantage
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
