Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our web applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust server-side applications using a combination of programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, and Python.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintain consistency across the codebase.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in backend development and share knowledge with the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or other team members in a timely manner.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Optimize application performance, considering factors such as response time, resource usage, and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration between the front and backends.
• Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems, implementing appropriate measures to protect against vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement API integrations with external systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer or a similar role.

Non-Negotiables:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for frontend development.
• Strong experience with backend technologies such as Helix Core, PHP, MySQL, SQL, Node.js, and Python.
• Solid understanding of backend integration techniques, including RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, for source code management.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and working in an iterative development environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• A self-motivated individual who can work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.

Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 monthly
