Job Description

• Are you a seasoned finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for making a difference in healthcare?
• Equity Specialist Hospitals is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Finance Manager to lead our Finance Department. As a key member of the hospital’s leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial sustainability, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth. Prior healthcare experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with the hospital's objectives.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports; analyze variances and trends; provide actionable insights to aid decision-making.
• Oversee billing, insurance claims processing, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and cash flow optimization.
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and healthcare industry-specific financial requirements.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team; assign roles, monitor performance, and strengthen internal controls.
• Monitor departmental expenditures, identify opportunities for cost savings, and recommend process improvements.
• Present financial updates to senior leadership; support funding proposals; liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (MBA or professional certification like ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the healthcare or service industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
• Sound knowledge of financial regulations and healthcare industry standards.
