Head of Digital Banking Job at Edo State

We are a Microfinance Bank incorporated in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in March 2005 under the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP C20 LFN 2004 and we commenced operations on the 10th of October, 2005. We are licensed to carry on the business of microfinance banking by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Head of Digital Banking
Job Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:


  • Develop and align the digital vision and strategy with the overall business strategy of the bank.
  • Continuously identify and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the digital banking landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of digital initiatives into the bank's strategic goals.

Management of Alternate Delivery Channels:

  • Oversee and administer the functioning of all alternative delivery channels, including Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Payment Gateways, ATMs, POS, KIOSK, Fast Track Internet Banking, and other Digital Financial Services.
  • Ensure uninterrupted operation of these channels and effective dispute management processes.
  • Handle operational and backward processes, and address any issues related to these channels.

Project Management:

  • Manage digital banking projects within defined budgets and timelines, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement digital solutions that enhance customer experience and drive operational excellence.

Vendor Management:

  • Develop and manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiating cost-effective service agreements and solutions.
  • Ensure the bank receives optimal services from vendors and stays up-to-date with technological advancements.

Regulatory Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, and oversee external and internal audits.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to implement and update IT security policies.
  • Maintain security and regulatory certifications as required.

Advisory and Reporting:

  • Provide insights and recommendations to Directors, the Board, and Senior Management regarding IT-related matters and industry developments.
  • Participate in IT committee meetings, contributing to decision-making on projects and strategies.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage the digital banking team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Assess training needs and facilitate relevant training to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Industry Awareness:

  • Stay informed about digital banking trends and developments within the Indian banking industry.
  • Leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and keep the bank competitive in the digital landscape.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery:

  • Develop and maintain robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans for digital banking operations.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the bank's competent authority from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Any IT Qualification
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in the banking industry and a focus on digital banking projects.
  • Strong educational background in IT or related fields.
