Hot Tapping Technician

An Indigenous Oil and Gas Company located in Port Harcourt is recruiting to fill the position of a Hot Tapping Technician.

Responsibilities/Summary of Functions:

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values
Provides on-site Hot Tapping and Line Stop services on client work sites performing any of any of the following duties:

Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment
Documents all hot tapping services activity as required
Maintains hot tapping tools and equipment

Requirements/Qualification:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school or related training preferred
Two (2) or more years of experience in an industrial operations preferred or as a service technician
Current HAZPOWER training certificate preferred
Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice
Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines
Knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work preferred
Ability to follow precise directions and procedures of the supervisor on the project
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong safety skills
