We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: HSE Officer

Job Location: Mokwa, Niger

Responsibilities
HSE Compliance & Monitoring:

• Ensure that all activities comply with applicable HSE regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Risk Assessment & Control:

• Carry out risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safe work procedures and practices.

Training & Awareness:

• Conduct HSE inductions and regular safety training for employees and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness and culture through campaigns, toolbox talks, and meetings.

Incident Investigation & Reporting:

• Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain incident records and follow up on the implementation of improvements.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain accurate HSE documentation and reports, including safety statistics and compliance logs.
• Support in preparing reports for regulatory authorities as required.

Emergency Preparedness:

• Ensure emergency response plans are developed, tested, and updated.
• Conduct drills and training on emergency procedures.

Environmental Management:

• Monitor and report environmental impacts, including waste, emissions, and spills.
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices and compliance with environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of work experience.
