1.) Hotel Accountant

Job Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Ensure that the guests have best possible experience by trouble-shooting and resolving all billing-related disputes.
  • Represents the Accounts department on the daily department heads meeting with the general manager.
  • Manage all phases of Accounts Payable, Receivable and department budget.
  • Providing direction to the night audit team so as to ensure proper revenue reporting.
  • Reviewing all ledger details guest ledger,city ledger and deposit ledgers to validate proper payment and revenue posting.
  • Review the postings, payments, revenue and guest balance reports on a daily basis.
  • Calculate and distribute wages and salaries.
  • Prepare regular reports and summaries of accounting activities.
  • Prepare financial statements and debtors' listings.
  • Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to management.
  • Follows up on any accounts within 3 days to ensure customer has received the invoice and does not have any questions.
  • Review the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Ageing reports on a daily basis.
  • Enters invoices into accounts payable system weekly after verifying a purchase order was received from ordering department head and obtaining General Manager's approval.
  • Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow.
  • Ensuring that cash flows are adequate to allow business units to operate effectively.
  • Maintain banking relationships and merchant services for the hotel
  • Maintains files of all contracts, insurance policies, tax reports,expenses,payroll, etc.
  • Ensures all new hire paperwork, benefits, performance appraisals, disciplinary action forms and other pertinent personnel documents are filed appropriately and maintained in accordance with the company HR practices.
  • Working with executives and business heads to prepare budgets and track profit/loss performance by business unit.
  • Providing direction and training to the hotel operational team in areas related to finance, financial reports,internal controls, labour management, payroll, etc.
  • Effectively manage the accounting team through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, regular meetings, and appropriate performance management.
  • Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required.
  • Performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions.
  • Preparing financial reports and submissions to relevant government entities.
  • Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Account Department activities.

Requirements
Education:

  • Charted Accountant (CA) and possess Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Additional qualifications will be added advantages.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage environment and quality with a background that includes forecasting and budgeting.

Prerequisites:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong accounting software experience. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel / Word) and experience with PMS like Opera.

2.) Front Office Manager (Expert)

Job Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • Directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties.
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services and telephone areas.
  • Front Office Manager also supervises all activities at the Gym and Information Technology (IT) unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trains, cross–trains, and retrain all front office personnel.
  • Schedules the front office staff.
  • Supervises workload during shifts.
  • Evaluates the job performance if each front office employee.
  • Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments.
  • Maintains master key control.
  • Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
  • Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Updates group information. Maintains, monitors, and prepares group requirements. Relays information to appropriate personnel.
  • Reviews and completes credit limit report.
  • Works within the allocated budget for the front office.
  • Receives information from the previous shift manager and passes on pertinent details to the oncoming manager.
  • Upholds the hotel's commitment to hospitality.
  • Prepare performance reports related to the front office.
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Analyze rate variance, monitor credit reports and maintain close observation of daily house count. Monitor the selling status of the house daily. Ie flash report,allowance tc.
  • Monitor high-balance guests and take appropriate action.
  • Checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposits at the end of each shift.
  • Enforces all cash handling, check-cashing, and credit policies.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office personnel.
  • Wears the proper uniform at all times. Requires all front office employees to wear proper uniforms at all times.
  • Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and house rules.
  • Operate all aspects of the Front Office computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and simple configuration changes.
  • Prepare revenue and occupancy forecasting.
  • Maintain required parts of all front office and stationery supplies.
  • Review daily front office work and activity reports generated by Night Audit.
  • Review the Front office log book and Guest feedback forms on a daily basis.
  • Ensure logging and delivery of all messages,packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests managers and other employees.
  • Monitor all V.I.P.’s special guests and requests.
  • Maintain an organised and comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, vouchering, schedules,forecasts, reports and tracking logs.

3.) Sales & Marketing Executive

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and assist sellers and buyers in marketing and purchasing property for the right price under the best terms
  • Determine clients’ needs and financials abilities to propose solutions that suit them
  • Intermediate negotiation processes, consult clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements and related matters, ensuring a fair and honest dealing
  • Perform comparative market analysis to estimate properties’ value
  • Maintain and update listings of available properties
  • Cooperate with appraisers, escrow companies, lenders and home inspectors

4.) General Manager

Job Location: Abuja

Position Summary

  • We are in search for an exceptional General Manager.(An expartriate with a worldclass exposure and work experience is Africa is most prefered)
  • The General manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, from day-to-day staff management andguests. He / She should be an ambassador for the brand. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Work Very closely with the hotel owners and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing the Hotels management team (HODs) and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. A General Manager would also be required to manageprofitabilityand guest satisfaction measures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operationsfunctionsof the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.
  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with all heads of departments.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual OperatingBudget,Marketing& SalesPlanand Capital Budget.
  • Manage ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management.
  • Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
  • Handling complaints, and overseeing the service recovery procedures.
  • Deliver hotel budget goals andsetothershort- and long-term strategic goals for the property.
  • Developing improvement actions, and carrying outcostsavings.
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
  • Closely monitor thehotel’s business reportson a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.
  • Maximizing room yield and hotel/resortrevenue through innovative sales practices andyield managementprograms.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting for the owners and stakeholders.
  • Draw up plans andbudgets(revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners.
  • Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
  • Lead in all aspects of business planning.
  • Respond toauditsto ensure continual improvement is achieved.
  • Corporate clienthandling and taking part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
  • Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal &external audits).
  • Helping in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with third-partyvendorsfor essential equipment and services.
  • Coordination with HOD's for the execution of all activities and functions.
  • Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
  • Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and development.
  • Be accountable for the responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
  • Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health &SafetyAct,fireregulations and other legal requirements.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • A University Degree in Hotel Management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioninga hotel with a clear track record.
  • Excellent computer system skills.

Experience:

  • At least 10 to 20 years of experience in the 4-Star or5-Star hotel, with international experience.
  • And 5 to 10 years of experience as a General Manager or Asst. General Manager.

Prerequisites:

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience.
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
