Job Description
The Marine Base Superintendent shall be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating all marine base activities and marine transportation operation.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage marine base operation with expertise
• Ensure compliance to safety measures
• Plan, coordinate safe and economic execution of moving vessels, positioning, mooring
• Propose measures to enhance performance of existing services
• Recommend operational procedures, actions to achieve best results Inspect, audit marine services to ensure technical conformity
• Liaise with local authorities and other relevant agencies in respect of transport services
• Ensure the correct material management procedure and operation instruction for material handling are applied, exercising the necessary supervision
• Manage and lead a multi-cultural team, contractor staff to deliver optimum level of service
• To work close with security personnel to ensure maximum security of the facility
• To build up effective logistic function accordance to company operation requirement

Qualification and Personal Attributes

• Must possess a minimum qualification of B.Eng or HND from and accredited institution in any Engineering field with not less than 10 years post NYSC practical experience in marine activities
• Registration with recognized engineering professional bodies and international certifications will be an added advantage.
• Analytical and good at solving problems.
• Have solid manual dexterity, have good hand-eye coordination and be physically fit.
• Shall be directed, organized, and able to train new technicians.
• Must have written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
