Job Position: News & Lifestyle Reporter

Job Location: Anthony Village, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• A Lagos-based online news medium is looking for journalists with an avid interest in general and lifestyle news for immediate full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, verify and analyse newsworthy information about people and events
• Assemble findings into a stable story
• Write and present stories with the audience's perspective in mind
• Stay up-to-date with trending stories by monitoring the media, attending events and conducting interviews

Requirements

• Minimum education required: OND
• At least one-year working experience in the media
• Active presence on social media
• Good command of written and oral English
• Good listening and time management skills.
• Ability to gather, write and self-edit stories
• Broad knowledge of headlines
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, WordPress, SEO, web search)
• Proximity to Anthony Village is an advantage.
