1.) IT Support Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and replace parts as required
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network and updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders
  • Excellent time management.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least B.Sc in Computer Science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
  • Applicants must have 2 - 4 years of experience in the above-mentioned field.
  • Good knowledge of Software/Hardware Installations, Operating Systems, LAN, WAN etc.
  • A previous experience in a hospitality environment is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Skilled in NVR and DVR - CCTV operations
  • A current/previous experience of MS Dynamic NAV, Micros and Opera is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of MS Server, SQL, ADDCis an added advantage.

2.) Hotel Accountant

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Ensure that the guests have best possible experience by trouble-shooting and resolving all billing-related disputes.
  • Represents the Accounts department on the daily department heads meeting with the general manager.
  • Prepare financial statements and debtors' listings.
  • Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to management.
  • Providing direction to thenight auditteam so as to ensure proper revenue reporting.
  • Manage all phases of Accounts Payable, Receivable and department budget.
  • Calculate and distribute wages and salaries.
  • Prepare regular reports and summaries of accounting activities.
  • Reviewing all ledger details guest ledger, city ledger and deposit ledgers to validate proper payment and revenue posting.
  • Review the postings, payments, revenue and guest balance reports on a daily basis.
  • Follows up on any accounts within 3 days to ensure customer has received the invoice and does not have any questions.
  • Review the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Ageing reports on a daily basis.
  • Enters invoices intoaccounts payable system weekly after verifying apurchase order was received from ordering department head and obtaining General Manager's approval.
  • Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow.
  • Performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions.
  • Preparing financial reports and submissions to relevant government entities.
  • Ensures all new hire paperwork, benefits, performance appraisals, disciplinary action forms and other pertinent personnel documents are filed appropriately and maintained in accordance with the company HR practices.
  • Ensuring that cash flows are adequate to allow business units to operate effectively.
  • Maintain banking relationships and merchant services for the hotel
  • Maintains files of all contracts, insurance policies, tax reports, expenses, payroll, etc.
  • Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required.
  • Working with executives and business heads to prepare budgets and track profit/loss performance by business unit.
  • Providing direction and training to the hotel operational team in areas related to finance, financial reports, internal controls, labour management, payroll, etc.
  • Effectively manage the accounting team through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, regular meetings, and appropriate performance management.
  • Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Account Department activities.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Charted Accountant (CA) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Additional qualifications will be added advantages.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated accounting experience, preferably in ahospitalityor food and beverage environment and quality with a background that includes forecasting andbudgeting.

Prerequisites:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong accounting software experience. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel / Word) and experience with PMS like Opera.

3.) Hotel Sales & Marketing Executive

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • Designing and Execution of the Hotel’s business and marketing strategies for sustained revenue and profitability performance with the objective of the best service delivery to all customers consistent with the Hospitality industry.
  • Organizing Market Research Analysis and initiating regular feedback on market activities for the Hotel to the Board and Management.
  • Formulating and implementing of sales strategies to achieve agreed targets
  • Ensuring incremental sales growth through prospective and lead generation especially in the Oil & Gas Industry, blue chips organizations (Brands) Government Agencies, Parasatals, Financial Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations, Political Parties Conferences, Out Door Catering, Educational Institutions and the Entertainment Industry.
  • Providing support while introducing new guests to the Hotel
  • Weekly sales and prospecting report should be made to management for performance appraisal.
  • A movement plan will be necessary to inform management of the necessity of provision for Transport and Communication.
  • Maintain a Daily Chart Profile for Customer Care.
  • Adequate information to Management on all VIP category visit to the Hotel.
  • Writing and sending thank you letters for successful business transactions.

Requirements

4.) Job Executive Chef (Five Star Hotel)

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the consistent preparation of innovative and creative cuisine of the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the restaurants, banquets and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction.
  • Additionally responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and managing areas of profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training for Kitchen staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trains, develops and motivates supervisors and culinary staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards on a consistent basis.
  • Teaches preparation according to well-defined recipes and follows up and discusses ways of constantly improving the cuisine at the property.
  • He should advocate sound financial/business decision-making, demonstrates honesty, integrity and also leads by example.
  • Provides and supports service behaviours that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
  • Delegates as appropriate to develop supervisors and subordinates to accept responsibility and meet clearly defined goals and objectives.
  • Reviews staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.

  • Ensure all products are prepared in a consistent manner and meet departmental appearance/quality standards.
  • Ensure proper grooming and hygiene standards for all kitchen staff.
  • Maintain Quality levels of receiving, storage, production and presentation of food.
  • Hold daily morning meetings and other administrative sessions with kitchen staff
  • Identifies the developmental needs of kitchen staff and provides coaching, mentoring, and also helping them to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Trains kitchen associates on the fundamentals of good cooking and excellent plate presentations. Also, interview and hire new applicants for the kitchen.
  • Frequently review finished products for quality and presentation before the orders are sent to guests.
  • Ensures all kitchen employees maintain required food handling and sanitation certifications.
  • Ensure proper purchasing, receiving and food storage standards in the kitchen.
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on food quality, presentation and service levels.
  • Actively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing levels are scheduled to accommodate business demands.
  • Follows and enforces all applicable safety procedures specified for kitchen and food servers.
  • Discuss daily food cost reports with key kitchen and F&B team members.
  • Review weekly and monthly schedules to meet forecast and budget.
  • Able to perform additional duties as requested by the hotel management as and when required.
  • Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to hotel operational Standards and Management Policy.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
  • With a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar capacity/function in an international five-star hotel.
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Having an eye for detail and creativity to look at things differently will be a key to developing the Food and Beverage Experience.
