Programs Intern

The Policy Innovation Centre (PIC) is the first national institutionalized behavioral initiative in Africa supporting government and stakeholders to make behaviorally informed decisions and generate evidence for impact-driven interventions in critical thematic areas (Governance, Health, Gender & Social Inclusion, Education, Digital & Financial Inclusion). The PIC is positioned to support the delivery of better policies and innovative solutions for high-impact interventions across Africa. The PIC is an initiative of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), a leading think tank in Africa redefining evidence-based policy advocacy. 

The PIC is seeking to hire three Program Interns to provide technical support for ongoing projects.


Responsibilities:

  1. Provide program and administrative support to technical teams in the implementation of project deliverables.  
  2. Support literature search/desk review as well as monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities.
  3. Support project teams in analytical processes including evidence gathering, design, and implementation of social programs and policies.
  4. Contribute to writing and editing briefs, and knowledge outputs, including presentations and communication materials.
  5. Support the Unit Leads in other designated PIC activities.

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, or project management with a minimum of 1 year of experience in program design, planning, and implementation.
  2. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and technical writing skills are essential. 
  3. Adaptability/Decisiveness Attention to Detail Commitment to Continuous Learning

  5. Teachable with a genuine interest to make an impact.
