We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Quality Control / Production Manager


Job Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Procurement and Sourcing: You are responsible for ensuring a steady and cost-effective supply of raw materials for production. This involves working closely with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring market trends to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Inventory Level: You must maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while avoiding overstock or stock outs. This involves setting minimum and maximum stock levels based on production forecasts.
  • Cost Management: This involves minimizing carrying cost, avoid over-ordering, and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Waste Reduction: Staff must work to optimize production process to reduce excess inventory, particularly perishable items, and implement measures to repurpose or dispose excess inventory responsible.
  • Regulatory Compliance: The manager must ensure that all inventory management practices team adhere to relevant laws and regulations governing food production.
  • Storage and Organization: Ensure efficient storage procedures to prevent spoilage, contamination, or deterioration of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Order Fulfilment: You play a key role in coordinating with the customer service, sales, and distribution teams to fulfil customer orders and distribution teams to fulfil customer orders promptly.
  • Inventory Turnover: Monitor inventory turnover rates to assess how quickly raw materials are used and replaced.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished products is crucial.
  • Quality Standards and Specifications: You are responsible for establishing and communicating quality standards and specifications for raw materials, intermediate products and finished goods.
  • Quality Assurance Programs: You are responsible for implementing and managing quality assurance programs to ensure consistency and adherence to standards throughout the production process.
  • Supply Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the consistent quality of raw materials to ensure they meet quality specification.
  • Process Monitoring and Control: you are responsible for implementing measures to monitor and control the production process.
  • Employee Training: You will work with HR to ensure food handling staff are adequately trained in the quality control process.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Oversee the maintenance of detailed records of quality control activities, batch production records, test result, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken with approval.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: You must actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Customer Feedback and Complaint Resolution: You are responsible for managing customer feedback and complaint related to product quality.
  • Final Product Inspection: Production manager will actively take part in the final inspection of finished product to ensure they meet quality specifications before being released for distribution.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 1 - 4 years of relevant work experience.
