We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday;  No weekend work (Saturday & Sunday off)
Start Date: Immediate

Job Summary

• The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, tracking income and expenses, preparing financial reports, supporting financial planning, and ensuring accurate accounting processes.
• The role requires strong computer literacy, dedication, financial discipline,and retail accounting experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A dedicated, computer-literate accountant with a minimum of 2 years experience, strong financial discipline, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage supermarket financial operations effectively while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts
• Record daily sales, income, and expenses
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
• Manage cash flow and expense tracking
• Reconcile accounts and financial statements
• Monitor payments, invoices, and receipts
• Track supplier payments and outstanding balances
• Support budgeting and financial planning
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
• Prepare payroll support data when required
• Support audits and financial reviews
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Detect financial discrepancies and report appropriately
• Use accounting software and digital tools for records

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting (retail/supermarket experience is an advantage)
• Must be computer literate
• Must show strong dedication and commitment to work
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good record-keeping ability
• Honest, responsible, and trustworthy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
