Description


  • We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at Dangote Cement Plc.
  • As the Assistant General Manager (Power Plant), your role will be critical to ensuring the successful operation and maintenance of our Power Plant infrastructure.
  • On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • You will also have the opportunity to drive change, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Power Plant operations, including maintenance, safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and other project-related activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of quality services.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports on Power Plant operations, including performance metrics, financial data, and other key indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Gas Turbine based power plants Instrumentation maintenance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Power Plant disciplines, including thermal, mechanical and electrical.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Experience managing complex projects and teams, including the ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and drive results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
