Chief Operations Manager - Automobile

Our cleint an Automobile Service Center is looking for an experienced Chief Operations Officer

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos

Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the automobile dealership and service center.

Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales targets, customer satisfaction, and service quality.

Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Sales and Business Development:


Drive sales growth by developing and implementing sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and customer retention programs.

Collaborate with the sales team to set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support as needed.

Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand the dealership's market presence.

Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to drive business growth.

Customer Experience and Service Excellence:

Ensure exceptional customer experience and satisfaction by setting and maintaining high service standards.

Implement strategies to improve customer service processes, handle customer complaints, and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Foster a customer-centric culture among staff, emphasizing the importance of delivering excellent service at all touchpoints.

Financial Management:

Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures.

Monitor financial performance, analyze financial data, and provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability.

Optimize inventory management processes, ensuring efficient stock levels and minimizing inventory holding costs.

Team Leadership and Development:

Provide strong leadership and guidance to the dealership and service center teams.

Recruit, train, and develop high-performing staff members, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide regular feedback to drive employee engagement and productivity.

Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

Establish and maintain positive relationships with automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with vendors to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to drive business growth and enhance the dealership's reputation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience as a COO, General Manager, or in a similar senior leadership role within the automotive industry.

Strong understanding of automobile dealership and service center operations.
