Job Position: Director of Medical Services
Job Location: Anambra
Job Description

  • The Director of Medical Services shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration of the Medical Centres on the University Campuses.

Duties


  • He should be in charge of the Medical Centres on the Campuses of the University
  • Effective leadership and supervision of Medical and para-medical staff in the Campuses.
  • Control of the Medical Centre budget and other issues in the health care system of the Medical Centre.
  • The candidate should not be more than sixty (60) years at the time of appointment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The candidate must possess a good honours degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized University.
  • The Director must be a Consultant in any of the specialized fields of medicine including General practice or He/she should have a post graduate degree m Public
  • Health and other relevant specialized areas in Medical Sciences.
  • The candidate must be computer and ICT compliant and able to access the internet for current medical knowledge.
  • He should be a member of the Nigeria Medical Association and other professional medical bodies.
  • He should not be below the rank of a Deputy Director of Medical Services.

Conditions of Services

  • The basic salary of a non-teaching Director on CONUASS 15 in the public service as it applies to University system as determined by Governing Council from time to time shall apply. The appointment shall be for a single tenure of four (4) years.




Job Position: Director of Physical Planning
Job Location: Anambra
Job Description

  • The Director of Physical Planning shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for Physical Planning matters in the University.
  • The candidate should possess a high degree of responsibility, competence and unassailable integrity.
  • He must be computer literate particularly in computer aided design and control
  • The candidate must be strong, healthy and articulate at the point of appointment in order to accommodate the rigors of the physical planning services.

Duties

  • Overall supervision of the Physical Planning, development and physical projections for planning purposes in the University
  • Effective control of building, roads and sites in the University Campuses.
  • Advise Management and Council on physical planning in the University
  • Management of Physical Planning budget.
  • Efficient supervision of staff in the University

Qualifications and Experience

  • The candidate must have a good honours degree in Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning or Quantity Surveying.
  • The Candidate must have eighteen (18) years of relevant experience in the University or tertiary educational system.
  • The candidate should be an officer not below the rank of Deputy Director of Physical Planning in the University system.
  • The possession of higher degree in relevant field of specialization is an advantage.
  • The candidate must have professional registration from the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Architects Registration Council of Nigeria, Town Planning Registration Council and Nigeria Society of Engineers.
  • The candidate must not be more than sixty (60) years at the point of appointment.

Conditions of Services

  • The conditions of service as applicable to a non-teaching Director in the University system on CONUASS 15 as the Governing Council may determine from time to time shall apply. The appointment shall be fora single tenure of four (4) years.




Job Title: Director of Works
Location: Anambra
Job Description

  • The Director of Works shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for works services in the University.
  • The candidate for the post of Director of Works must exhibit a high degree of competence, responsiveness and demonstrable integrity for running the Directorate of Works Services in the University.
  • The candidate must be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) particularly in computer aided designs and control.
  • The candidate must be energetic and at appointment possess good health to be able to accommodate the rigours of the Works Service Department.

Duties

  • The overall control of the Works Department maintenance of physical plants, equipments and public utilities in the University.
  • Effective supervision of buildings, fixtures and construction sites.
  • Advising the Management and Governing Council appropriately on Works services Control of Works budget
  • Effective and result oriented supervision of staff.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidate must have good honours degree in Engineering preferably Civil or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • He must be registered with the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Council for the Regulation of Engineering et al.
  • Possession of a higher degree in relevant field of specialization will bean added advantage.
  • He must be computer literate with demonstrable skills in computer aided designs.
  • The candidate must have at least eighteen (18) years post qualification cognate experience and must be an officer not below the rank of deputy Director of Works in a University or in similar institutions.
  • The candidate must not be more than sixty (60) years at the time of appointment.

  • The Conditions of Service as applicable to a non-teaching Director on CONUASS 15 shall apply as determined by the Governing Council for such appointment in the University system. The appointment shall be for a single tenure of four (4) years.




Job Title: University Librarian
Location: Anambra
The Person

  • The University Librarian is the Head and Officer in charge of the University Library and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and coordination of all Library and E-Library Services in the University and its Campuses, Colleges, Faculties, Departments and other research Units.

Qualification and Experience

  • The candidate for the post of the University Librarian must possess a Doctorate degree in Library Science from a recognized University or a Doctorate Degree plus a post graduate Diploma in Librarianship and Membership of the relevant professional bodies.
  • The candidate must, possess at least eighteen (18) years post qualification experience with adequate publications in reputable National and international Journals.
  • He must possess adequate leadership experience as well as high degree of competence, integrity and dependability.
  • The person must be computer literate and be able to use the internet for information gathering and dissemination.
  • Candidates must have been a Deputy Librarian for at least five(5) years.
  • The candidate must not be more than sixty (60) years at the time of assumption of office.

Conditions of Service

  • The appointment must be a single term of five (5) years and conditions of service applicable as in the public service and the University system as determined by the Governing Council shall apply.




Job Title: Bursar
Location: Anambra
The Person

  • The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
  • The person for this position must be of impeccable character.
  • He/she must be trustworthy, have adequate knowledge of Accounting with ample experience, integrity, high degree of competence, drive and dependability.
  • The person must not have been convicted by any administrative or judicial panel.
  • The candidate should not be more than sixty (60) years at the point of appointment.

Qualification and Experience

  • The applicant for this position must possess a good honours degree in Accountancy or Finance. The candidate must also possess ICAN, ACCA, lCMA CACA, CIP A and/or ANAN.
  • A post graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related area will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate must be computer literate and conversant with accounting packages.
  • The candidate is expected to have a minimum of eighteen (18) years post qualification experience most of which must be in bursary operations in a tertiary educational institution.
  • The person must have operated at the level of Deputy Bursar for at least five (5) years.

Conditions of Service

  • The appointment shall be a single tenure of five (5) years and conditions of service applicable in the public service and the University System for the position of Bursar and as determined by the Governing Council shall apply.




Job Title: Registrar
Location: Anambra
Job Description

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration of the University except in financial matters for which the Bursar is responsible.
  • The Registrar is Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation among other functions.

Qualification and Experience

  • The candidate should possess a good honours degree from a recognized University and must have at least eighteen (18) years administrative experience in a tertiary educational institution out of which he/she must have spent at least five (5) years as a Deputy Registrar in the University system.
  • Possession of a higher degree will be an advantage and membership of recognized professional administrative bodies is mandatory.

The Registrar is expected to:

  • Be a person with high quality leadership traits who can motivate and inspire young administrative officers to be able to get the best of them for the benefit of the University.
  • Be a person with excellent physical and intellectual health.
  • Be focused, innovative and principled.
  • Be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and writing skills.
  • The candidate for the position must be articulate and be a dynamic academic administrator with unassailable integrity who promotes merit and diligence and has not been indicted by any administrative panel or convicted by a Law Court.

Conditions of Service

  • The conditions of service are the same as in the public service as applicable to public Universities in Nigeria as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.
  • The appointment shall be for a single tenure of five (5) years and as prescribed by the University Law.
  • The candidate should not be more than sixty (60) years at the time of appointment.
