Our Client, an Oil Servicing company who has over the years built an outstanding reputation for a commitment to excellence in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. They are currently looking to engage a suitable qualified Contract Engineer professional who would have oversights over the following functions:


  • Contracts - To ensure orders are completed within budget, on time and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Quotations & Tenders - To ensure that drawings prepared, material take?off and costings are completed neatly, accurately and on time.
  • Arrangements for site surveys. Consultation with technical and other departments on all services or applications. Determination and Procurement of sub?contract resources

As the Contract Engineer, you would:

  • Prepare the company’s quotation response in accordance with the established procedures for investigation, design, costing and presentation.
  • Ensure that the documentation received for orders/enquiries is sufficiently informative/detailed to allow the efficient processing of the work.
  • Process orders in accordance with the established procedures for materials, bought out items, labour and site equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete file record of all calculations, material lists, costings, drawings, correspondence and purchase orders.
  • Prepare full and accurate instructions for production control.
  • Prepare full and accurate manufacturing drawings/details for production control/factory personnel.
  • Source and procure all bought out/non?stock items relevant to the contract in a cost effective manner.
  • Programme work load to ensure that all resources arrive on site as scheduled, and thereby allow the installation to be completed as cost effectively as possible.
  • Seek client’s agreement on payment of down time/additional works which is directly attributable to the customer.
  • Ensure the company does not incur unnecessary loss of contribution due to non?chargeable costs.

The Successful Applicant

For the successful Contract Engineer you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a contract engineer/supply chain professional
  • Appropriate practical experience in preparation and negotiation of complex technical contracts in the oil & Gas and petrochemical and manufacturing industries
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent with strong SCM professional certification required
