We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Engineering Technical Manager

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Function as the Discipline lead on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group
• Leads other Engineers, Designers & Drafters personnel in technical excellence and growth in Quality Improvement Process
• Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract
• Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct on-site training of personnel.
• Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies
• Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and quality is acceptable. Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel
• Works closely with project manager to resolve any existing or forecasted problem related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance or productivity
• Provides technical direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional technical staff assistance as the situation warrants
• Supervises the production of project drawings and design calculations
• Helps to define discipline design organization and participation on a project, including scope of work, design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating prospective employees. Offers personnel development programs, conducts performance evaluation, counsel employees, takes corrective actions (as required) and approves termination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's / Master's Degree including MBA preferred in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• 7-10years relevant work experience
• Must be COREN certified.
