Estate Manager Job at African Foundries Limited

African Foundries Limited (AFL) was established to support the accelerating growth in Nigeria by making the country self-reliant for steel rebars and eliminating its dependence on imported rebars. AFL is set up to reach a 0.5 million-ton per year capacity for high strength rebars and allied products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Estate Manager
Job Location: Ogijo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Estate Operations & Administration;


  • Manage day-to-day operations of the staff accommodation estate.
  • Handle residents’ complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Maintenance & Utilities Management:

  • Oversee maintenance of buildings, roads, drainage, electrical, plumbing, and civil works.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of water, electricity, and backup systems (gensets, RO plant).
  • Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Monitor AMC contracts for lifts, generators, pumps, RO plants, etc.

Housekeeping & Hygiene:

  • Ensure cleanliness of common areas, staircases, corridors, drains, and surroundings.
  • Supervise housekeeping staff and waste management operations.
  • Ensure pest control and sanitation activities are carried out regularly.

Security & Safety:

  • Manage security staff and ensure 24x7 assistance to any emergency situation .
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety norms and emergency preparedness.

Staff & Vendor Management:

  • Supervise estate staff including supervisors, technicians, gardeners, and cleaners.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and services.
  • Verify attendance, duty rosters, and work performance of staff.

Budgeting & Cost Control;

  • Prepare and monitor estate operation
  • Control costs related to utilities, repairs, and consumables.
  • Verify service bills and submit reports for approval.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of occupancy, maintenance logs, and asset registers.
  • Submit periodic reports on estate condition, incidents, and expenses.
  • Ensure statutory and internal compliance documentation is up to date.

Resident Welfare & Compliance

  • Coordinate during emergencies such as power failure, water issues, medical emergencies, or natural events.
