Job Summary


  • The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial aspects of the hospital’s operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • This includes preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing budgets, overseeing billing and collections, and ensuring timely balancing and reconciliation of HMO claims
  • The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making to drive financial sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and records.
  • Manage and reconcile HMO claims and payments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments from patients, HMOs, and corporate clients.
  • Supervise the billing and collections team to ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital policies.
  • Develop and implement internal control systems to safeguard hospital assets.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee payroll administration, statutory deductions, and remittances.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and other financial laws.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support management with financial insights for operational and strategic planning.
  • Prepare and present periodic financial performance reports to management.
  • Guide, train, and supervise finance team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of HMO billing and claims reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • In-depth understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

N350,000 - N500,000 / Month.
