Job Summary

• The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, growth, and performance of the events and catering company. This role ensures efficient event execution, strong team leadership, excellent client service, and effective cost management to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the events and catering business to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all catering and event activities from setup to breakdown.
• Manage and supervise operational teams including kitchen staff, service staff, logistics, and vendors.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, service delivery, and customer satisfaction at all events.
• Control operational costs, budgets, and pricing to maintain profitability.
• Manage inventory of food supplies, equipment, and event materials.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for events and catering services.
• Handle key client relationships and resolve escalated customer complaints professionally.
• Coordinate staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare operational and performance reports for management review.
• Support business growth by identifying new business opportunities and partnerships.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in events, catering, or hospitality management.
• Proven experience managing catering operations and event execution.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills.
• Good financial and cost-control knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and event days.
• HND/BSc in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
