Damnaish Human Capacity Building Initiative (DHCBI) is a Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization, founded in 2014 and incorporated with the Nigerian Government (Corporate Affairs Commission) in 2015 (CAC/IT/No 83231) to provide humanitarian assistance, in terms of emergency and Capacity building, social development and empowerment to eradication poverty and the fear of want. It has since its inception, been strategizing, collaborating, and interfacing with relevant stakeholders toward enhancing the individual’s ability to break free from poverty or bounce back in times of crisis.

We are recruiting a qualified personnel to fill the position below:

Job Position: Grant Resource Officer

Job Location: Borno


Job Description

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's goals.
  • Prepare grant proposals, including budgets and supporting documents.
  • Monitor and report on grant-funded programs.
  • Manage grant applications and submission processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations and partners.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure grant compliance and successful project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in International Affairs, Development, International Political Economy, or other relevant subject.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal/intercultural skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Previous experience in grant writing and management is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet demanding deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with international donors is preferred (BHA, USAID, ECHO, FCDO, GAC, etc.).
