We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Head of Risk Management

Job Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
  • Define and implement the Risk Appetite Statement as approved by the Board.
  • Oversee credit policy, portfolio concentration limits, and loan underwriting standards.
  • Monitor credit exposures, delinquency trends, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Support ALCO in managing liquidity and funding risks through stress testing and scenario analysis.
  • Serve as liaison for CBN risk-related examinations and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise Executive Management and the Board on risk implications of strategic decisions.
  • Build and promote a risk-aware culture through continuous training and communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications (CRMA, FRM, PRM, ERM, ICAN, ACCA, CIBN) are an added advantage.

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum of 10–15 years of banking experience, with at least 5 years in a senior risk role.
  • Proven track record managing multi-dimensional risk portfolios and leading cross-functional risk teams.
  • Age Requirement: 35 years and above

Key Competencies / Skills:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of CBN regulations, IFRS 9, Basel II/III, and AML/CFT frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Strong leadership, independence, and high professional ethics.

Salary Range
N450,000 Gross / month.
