Trino Studios Limited is a Film equipment and facility rental studio. It has a subsidiary, a Lagos-based film production company. Registered in 2016, it was established to develop productions and distribute motion pictures as a proactive response to the dire need for a surge in the circulation of human stories that are Afrocentric at the core. We are a company passionate about providing quality entertainment through film to the movie industry. Before inception, through its parent company, Trino Studios Limited, eight short films were produced including the AMVCA award winning short, The Encounter. In its three years of existence, TMP has released one feature-length movie and is set to release another this year, 2019.


We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Human Resource Manager
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description

  • The Human Resource Manager is responsible for functional activities such as recruitment/hiring process, selection and placement, payroll administration, employee relation and engagement, training and development, performance appraisal and on-boarding/induction etc.
  • He/she will also spearhead the development and implementation of processes and systems that support the achievement of the company's business goals by coordinating and implementing employee-oriented services, policies and programs (succession planning, talent management etc.) that will lead to high-performance and the overall growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the organizational structure and planning - job designs and descriptions, defined company structure, (pay, cadre, organogram),
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of career/personnel development plan through appraisal and training (specialized and soft skills).
  • Develop and promote company culture that emphasizes equality, fairness, continuous improvement, employee development and retention as well as high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies/government agencies – Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and implementation of international best practices and maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
  • Ensure employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health by organizing periodic safety training and workshops and ensuring the facility is kept safe at all time.
  • Conduct file audits from time to time.
  • Prepare periodic reports (e.g. headcount report, length of service reports etc.) for Management to track strategic goal accomplishment – as necessary or requested.
  • Conduct periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Monitor daily staff attendance- Investigate and understand causes for staff absences and lateness, send queries to employees with perpetual lateness and absence without notices,
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, trainings, surveys etc.)

Qualification and Experience

  • BSc / HND in Human Resource Management or any related discipline.
  • MSc / MBA will be an added advantage.
  • 6+ years’ progressive leadership experience in Human Resource positions.
  • Qualified/Chartered member of CIPM/CIPD/SHRM or equivalent is required
  • Familiarity with ATS software and HRMS is required
  • Knowledgeable about Nigerian and international labour laws as well as the best employment practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Working knowledge and experience in compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics / analytics
  • Cognate experience in developing HR business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR department staff members.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.
  • Evidence of the ability to coach organization managers in the best employee relations practices.
