Spotlight Supermarket is a fast-growing retail store located at Lotto-Simawa opposite Ndiviz Filling Station off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Job Position: Inventory Officer
Job Location: Lotto Simawa Road - Mowe, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Spotlight Supermarket is hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to manage inventory in both the store and on the sales floor.
• The ideal candidate will oversee stock movement from delivery, storage, and shelf replenishment, ensuring product availability, accuracy, and organization across the supermarket.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock and verify accuracy against invoices/delivery notes
• Tag and label items with barcodes or batch numbers for tracking
• Organize and arrange stock properly in the storage area using FIFO/FEFO methods
• Ensure timely shelf replenishment and restocking of fast-moving items
• Collaborate with floor staff to maintain tidy and well-stocked shelves
• Monitor and record the movement of goods using the POS/inventory system
• Conduct daily or weekly shelf counts to prevent stockouts
• Identify and report expired, damaged, or slow-moving items
• Assist with monthly inventory audits and system reconciliation
• Communicate effectively with purchasing, cashiers, and supervisors

Requirements

• Minimum of HND with relevant experience
• Experience with inventory control, warehousing, or shelf management
• Familiar with stock rotation principles (FIFO/FEFO)
• Basic computer skills (POS systems or Excel is an advantage)
• Honest, organized, and dependable
• Able to lift and move stock safely
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
