Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s company as an Inventory Officer.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels in the recycling facility.
- The Inventory Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate tracking, efficient storage, and timely replenishment of materials to support the production process.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal levels of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to support production demands.
- Implement and oversee inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock records.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.
- Work closely with production, logistics, and procurement teams to coordinate inventory activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address inventory-related issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Generate purchase orders based on inventory levels and production requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate quantities of materials.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Conduct regular quality checks on incoming materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with established standards.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in any discipline from a reputable company
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute to team success.
