1.) Operations Manager

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary


  • The Company’s Operations Manager will oversee the ongoing field operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • The operations manager will be responsible for coordinating activities, managing personnel, and optimizing production processes to achieve operational targets.
  • The Operations Manager will be stationed in the administrative office environment but also spend time visiting operation sites and facilities.

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Production Management: Direct and supervise field activities, including drilling, well operations, and facility maintenance. Develop strategies to optimize operation processes and minimize downtime.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. Implement safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety among employees and contractors.
  • Personnel Management: Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Maintenance and Reliability: Oversee maintenance programs for equipment and facilities to ensure reliability and uptime. Coordinate client inspection of equipment and facility. Develop preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure service quality and compliance with work execution plan. Monitor operation processes, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions to address deviations from quality standards.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support operational activities effectively. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Implement cost-effective measures to improve operational efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as lost time, security breach, spills, or equipment failures. Coordinate with emergency response teams to ensure effective response and mitigation measures.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years with extensive experience in oil and gas operations, including production, drilling, Well intervention and facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Leadership and management skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify operational issues and implement solutions.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 per month.

2.) Procurement & Tender Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • The company’s Procurement and Tender officer is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of ITTs and RFQs directed to the company and other procurement functions within the organization.

Responsibilities
Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Sourcing and Selection: Identify potential vendors, conduct market research, and evaluate proposals to select the best suppliers for goods and services required by the organization and Clients.
  • Vendor Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Purchase Requisition Processing: Receive and review purchase requisitions from different departments to understand specific needs and requirements. Coordinate the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate with the finance and budgeting team to analyse ITT and RFQ opportunities, putting into consideration cost of execution and profit maximization. As well as identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Contract Management: Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts and agreements. Ensure all contracts are up-to-date, enforceable, and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Tender Management Responsibilities:

  • Tender Identification and Opportunity Assessment: Monitor and identify tender opportunities relevant to the organization's business goals and objectives. Assess the feasibility and strategic fit of potential tenders, considering factors such as scope, requirements, and competition.
  • Tender Preparation and Documentation: Lead the preparation of tender documents, including technical proposals, commercial bids, and supporting documentation. Ensure all tender documents comply with the specifications, formatting guidelines, and submission requirements outlined in the tender documents.
  • Bid Management and Coordination: Act as the focal point for all tender-related communications, both internally and externally. Coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams involved in the tender process, such as finance, and operations. Develop and maintain a tender submission schedule, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and milestones.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Review tender documents thoroughly to identify risks, constraints, and compliance requirements. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other interactions to understand client requirements and preferences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse the outcomes of tender submissions to identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tendering process. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics and activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in a similar position in the oil and gas industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • SAP and Ariba Proficiency
  • NIPEX 7.5 portal proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of ICC-INCOTERM Regulations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 monthly

3.) HSE Officer - Oil & Gas

Job Description

  • The Company’s HSE Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Program Development: Design and implement safety programs and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses in the workplace. This includes conducting risk assessments, creating emergency response plans, and establishing safety procedures.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures for employees and contractors. Ensure all personnel receive appropriate safety training and certifications. Conduct weekly/monthly HSE talks for employees in the organization.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and environmental concerns. Collaborate with departments to address issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among employees by promoting awareness, participation, and accountability. Encourage reporting of safety concerns and near-misses.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards. Maintain records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to identifyroot causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare incident reports and recommend improvements to prevent future incidents.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fires, chemical spills, or natural disasters. Coordinate drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
  • Environmental Management: Assist in managing environmental programs and initiatives, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability efforts. Monitor environmental performance and recommend improvements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree at minimum; Engineering; Environmental; Sciences; Occupational Health.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Standards.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a mandatory General HSE Level 1&2 certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, management, contractors and clients.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and delivering safety training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
