1.) Head of Operations

Job Summary
- The Head of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of LAGRIDE, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with business goals. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence and scale the business sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations across the driver network, customer service, fleet management, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth, efficiency, and service quality.
- Drive execution of company policies and service standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Collaborate with the Product, Technology, and Customer Experience teams to improve service delivery and operational performance.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness in resource utilization while maintaining high standards in vehicle management, driver support, and customer service.
- Lead the development of operational SOPs, audit processes, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs for all operational units to ensure optimal productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Manage crisis response, emergency operations, and incident reporting protocols.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and improvement plans to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Transport Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the mobility, logistics, or tech-enabled services sectors.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience overseeing large teams.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data, streamline processes, and implement strategic improvements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements in the mobility or transport industry.

2.) Logistics Executive
Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Job type: Full-time
Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Executive to support and streamline our logistics operations.
- This role is critical in ensuring smooth import processes, timely deliveries, and accurate financial documentation.
- The ideal candidate will manage shipping logistics, customs documentation, PAAR applications, inventory tracking, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and finalize Agent Final Bills WRS within 2 days of vehicle delivery.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all logistics activities, including invoices, delivery notes, shipping records, and waybills.
- Apply and monitor PAAR (Pre-Arrival Assessment Reports) as soon as SONCAP is received.
- Ensure PAAR validation is completed same day of application and is received within 24 hours.
- Track PAAR progress and escalate any delay in approval or processing.
Shipping & Delivery Operations:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including vehicle dispatch, spare parts distribution, and returns.
- Monitor shipping and terminal charges validity to prevent delays in payment and clearance.
- Liaise with customs agents, clearing personnel, freight forwarders, and terminal operators for seamless clearance and delivery of imported vehicles/parts.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Customs, SON, and other regulatory agencies.
Logistics Monitoring & Reporting:
- Update the Daily Logistics Sheet, maintaining real-time status on all shipments and deliveries.
- Track and report delivery timelines, potential bottlenecks, and coordinate with relevant internal departments.
- Support the use and optimization of logistics management systems.
Operational Support:
- Align delivery timelines with sales/service departments to meet customer expectations.
- Optimize transport modes/routes for cost savings and efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and logistics automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of logistics or supply chain experience (automobile industry preferred).
- Hands-on experience with PAAR, shipping terminals, and customs clearance.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, inventory control, and international shipping processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics ERP tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with vehicle documentation and registration is a plus.

3.) Fleet Manager (Lagride)

Job Description
- The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of fleet-related activities, ensuring the availability, safety, and performance of the vehicle fleet comprising both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs).
- This role involves supervising the driver workforce, optimizing fleet utilization, overseeing maintenance schedules, and supporting the company’s mobility goals through data-driven operational decisions.
- The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights, cross-functional coordination, and leadership skills to manage fleet logistics and support the company’s strategic growth in Lagos and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Lagride’s vehicle fleet, including ICE (internal combustion engine) and electric vehicles.
- Ensure effective allocation, deployment, and rotation of vehicles based on real-time demand.
- Develop and execute operational SOPs for fleet movement, servicing, documentation, and recovery.
- Monitor EV battery performance, charging cycles, and schedule charging activities to minimize downtime.
- Lead scaling of fleet operations into new service areas and ensure readiness of vehicles and infrastructure.
Driver & Vehicle Oversight:
- Supervise a large network of drivers and field agents to ensure optimal vehicle handling, safety, and customer service.
- Liaise with HR and Training teams to schedule onboarding, retraining, and license renewals for drivers.
- Enforce compliance with driving standards, Lagride’s service policies, and state regulatory requirements.
- Review incident and accident reports; liaise with insurance, admin, and legal teams for resolution.
Maintenance & Downtime Management:
- Coordinate preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance, leveraging both internal workshops and vendor networks.
- Ensure all vehicles are serviced and roadworthy with valid papers (insurance, road worthiness, registration).
- Deploy replacement vehicles swiftly in case of breakdowns and follow up until the original is returned to the fleet.
- Oversee fueling and EV charging operations, ensuring accountability and cost-efficiency.
Reporting & Performance Management:
- Generate reports on:
- Fleet utilization
- Vehicle downtime
- Driver performance metrics
- Fuel and energy consumption
- Maintenance costs
- Use fleet management software and dashboards to identify trends and optimize operational decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet operations, ideally within a tech-enabled transport or ride-hailing company.
- Strong knowledge of both ICE vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs), including servicing and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
- Hands-on experience with fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and data analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
