We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Head, Retail / SME Banking - SM-AGM
Job Location: Lagos

Purpose/Job Dimension
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven strategic leader to oversee our Retail and SME Banking divisions.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the overall business strategy to drive customer acquisition, deepen wallet share, and maximize profitability across both segments.
- This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record of growing a retail banking book, building high-performing teams, and leveraging technology to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the Retail and SME segments to achieve aggressive growth targets in assets, liabilities, and fee-based income.
- Drive the bank's market share expansion by identifying new opportunities and leveraging existing customer relationships.
- Champion the development and launch of innovative, customer-centric products (e.g., savings accounts, loans, mortgages, cards, digital solutions) tailored to the Retail and SME markets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
- Own the P&L for the Retail and SME segments, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability.
- Ensure strict portfolio quality management by setting and monitoring credit risk parameters for retail and SME loan products.
- Drive the growth of a low-cost deposit base (CASA) to optimize funding costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reports to the Executive Management and Board.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a large team of Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, and Sales Executives across the bank's network.
- Set ambitious sales targets and implement effective incentive schemes to drive performance.
- Optimize the performance of the branch network while developing alternative distribution channels, including digital platforms, agency banking, and call centers.
- Ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality customer service across all touchpoints.
- Ensure all retail and SME banking activities comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
- Implement effective risk management frameworks to mitigate credit, operational, and reputational risks.
- Maintain a strong control environment and ensure adherence to KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) protocols.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- 6-8 years of experience in banking, with a focus on Retail/SME Banking.
- A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic management, business development, and profitability management within a banking context.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and banking regulations.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.

2.) Head, Public Sector - SM-AGM

Purpose/Job Dimension
- We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Head of Public Sector to develop and lead our strategic initiatives aimed at the government and public sector segment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the bank's relationships with key public sector entities, driving deposit growth, and originating significant transaction banking opportunities.
- This role requires a deep understanding of the Nigerian public sector landscape, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven track record of delivering on ambitious financial targets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall public sector business strategy for the bank to achieve defined targets for deposits, revenues, and market share.
- Identify, originate, and structure complex financial solutions for Federal, State, and Local Governments, as well as Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), and Government-Owned Enterprises.
- Drive the marketing of the bank’s products and services, including transaction banking, treasury solutions, credit facilities, and digital payment platforms, to the public sector.
- Lead the pursuit and response to large-scale public sector Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Act as the primary senior relationship manager for the bank’s most strategic public sector clients.
- Build and maintain a robust network of high-level contacts within the government ecosystem.
- Ensure deep client penetration and highest levels of client satisfaction through a value-added, advisory approach.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of large-ticket transactions, working closely with product teams (Treasury, Transaction Banking, Credit), legal, and compliance.
- Oversee the public sector portfolio, ensuring credit quality, compliance with terms, and a healthy risk profile.
- Prepare and present credit proposals and memoranda for management and committee approval.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of Public Sector Relationship Managers.
- Set clear performance objectives, monitor progress, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of government policies, budgetary cycles, and regulatory guidelines affecting the public sector.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends and their impact on the public sector business.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies.

- To strategically lead and manage the Trade Sales team in originating, developing, and growing the bank’s trade finance business (including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Bills for Collection, and Supply Chain Finance).
- The role is responsible for achieving aggressive sales targets, deepening client relationships, and maximizing revenue from the bank’s trade finance products and services.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual trade sales strategy and budget to achieve defined financial and non-financial targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing client portfolio and with prospective clients to grow market share.
- Drive the adoption of the bank’s full suite of trade finance and transactional products.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Act as a key relationship manager for top-tier corporate clients, understanding their business cycles and trade flows to provide tailored solutions.
