A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage/Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Tax Manager

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Description


  • To ensure compliance with all tax legislation and minimize tax liabilities within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Tax planning process and ensures that tax liabilities and exposures are minimized.
  • Provides internal tax advisory services to business divisions and departments to ensure tax efficiency e. g Payroll structuring.
  • Oversees the preparation of all applicable tax computations e.g., CIT, WHT, VAT, PAYE etc.
  • Sets up an effective tax record management, update, and reporting process and drives execution.
  • Ensures that receipts and clearance certificates due to Rainoil and/or employees are collected for all tax payments.
  • Puts in place measures and liaises with relevant colleagues to ensure prompt processing and remittance of tax payments and the reconciliation of all tax accounts.
  • Keeps up to date with current industry tax practices and regulations and proactively advises management as appropriate.
  • Conducts regular in-house tax reviews and oversees the preparation of tax self-assessments.
  • Responds to and ensures adequate follow-up to resolve tax queries from the Tax authorities.
  • Liaises with and monitors the performance of retained tax consultants on tax issues and reports to the Group Head - Finance as appropriate.
  • Reviews the computation of royalties and technical fees as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.Sc Degree in Finance / Accounting or any related discipline
  • Professional certifications: Taxation: Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (CITN) or any recognized international equivalent and ACA - Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or ACCA - Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants.
  • Minimum of 5 years combined consultancy and/or functional Tax experience including specialism within the Oil & Gas industry.

2.) Internal Control Officer

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Description

  • To assist the Team Lead, Internal Control in promoting continuity of the Group operations by developing and implementing business control policies and operational guidelines that help to minimize exposure to potential risks and impact on business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the Internal Control programs to ascertain and report on degree of compliance with company-approved policies and operating procedures, laws, regulations, and code of good business practices.
  • Assists in the implementation of internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote operational efficiency & transparency.
  • Conducts Internal Control evaluation and risk assessments to identify loopholes and areas requiring management intervention to prevent frauds, embezzlements, misappropriations, misuse, and wastage.
  • Conducts audit tests and investigations as designed by the Audit Team Lead.
  • Prepares draft audit reports for review by the Team Leads.
  • Evaluates information security and associated risk exposures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Second Class Upper in B.Sc in Accounting or any Finance related course.
  • MBA or master’s degree in any related discipline.
  • Minimum of Four (4) years relevant experience working in the internal audit function of a similar organization.
  • Relevant professional certifications e.g., Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

3.) Operations Executive

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Description

  • To monitor actual sales against budget and ensure that retail outlets have the required resources to meet these targets.
  • To contribute to maintaining a positive brand image for Rainoil by ensuring service delivery at all stations comply with defined group standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive implementation of sales budget within retail outlet
  • Reports to the Head, Rainoil Sales & Marketing on overall and agreed station performance metrics.
  • Provides various resources as required by the stations to ensure staff are productively engaged.
  • Maintains excellent standards in all retail activity, driving sales and profitability through the effective implementation of budget.
  • Verifies all stations requests in line with approved budget and controls.
  • Provides direct oversight to station managers, guidance on service, performance, operational standards, and requirements.
  • Monitors and evaluates station operational and marketing results and develops interventions to promote business development and growth.
  • Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
  • Identifies opportunities and drives initiatives to expand the revenue drivers at stations.
  • Implements measures to effectively track and address customer feedback and complaints.
  • Monitors retail stations’ inventory reports to ensure products are always available at outlet.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Engineering, or related discipline is required.
  • Must have of 0-2 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

4.) Trading & Marine Executive

Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time (Onsite)

Description

  • To manage vessel chartering, ship-to-ship transfers, bunkering, offloading products, product quality, proper documentation and record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Acts promptly to ensure availability of vessels for product delivery.
  • Monitors timelines and process relating to receipt and offloading to ship cargo to avoid or minimize incidences of demurrage.
  • Obtain the loading order and forwards the voyage details to the vessel captain via e-mail.
  • Receiving cast-off reports from vessel captain and forwards it to the port’s operations manager.
  • Monitors the vessel voyage status to determine the location coordinates of the vessel through the fleet management module.
  • Prepares progress reports on the monitoring of the various vessels stating their current positions against the plan, off-track distance, estimated time of arrival, issues identified as well as recommendations.
  • Supports a proactive safety conscious environment line with company’s health and safety policy by involvement in implementation.
  • Confirms vessel availability for hiring in line with the requesting party’s request.
  • Prepares vessel allocation schedule.
  • Liaises with the finance department to obtain funds/secure bank loans for product importation.
  • Maintains good relationships with shipping lines for better bargains/services.
  • Facilitates the operations for off-loading and product shortage logistics as well as ship to ship transfer.
  • Documentation/record keeping of shipping transactions, and apt delivery to relevant authorities.
  • Prepares post-operations reports for review by the Trading Manager.
  • Interface with government agencies, NPA, customs, NIMASA, DPR e.t.c to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Engineering or related discipline is required. 
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in Trading & Marine sector in the Oil and Gas industry.

5.) Commercial Sales Executive

Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Description

  • To implement general day to day chartering operations by participating in both negotiations and evaluations as well as generating documentation on the transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Liaises with ship owners to gain information about availability of ships
  • Confirms the availability of vessels for hiring out
  • Receives and examines vessel hire requests from customers with respect to the service required, vessel capacity, Vessel hire date and duration of the hire
  • Forwards vessel hire requests to the Commercial Manager for approval
  • Negotiates cost effective rates with ship owners as assigned by Head of Department.
  • Facilitates and ensures prompt disbursement of all payments to the vessel owners.
  • Monitors progress and development in vessel’s movement from product source to ship berthing and reporting such
  • Maintains compliance with the company’s health and safety policy in all operations.
  • Drafts the vessel charter party agreement
  • Prepares invoices and confirmation of payments
  • Liaises with ship owners to gain information about availability of ships.
  • Prepares charter party and contract agreements with vessel owners, Letter of indemnity (LOI) and other relevant shipping contract documents to facilitate vessel chartering
  • Maintains service level agreements (SLA)s between Rainoil, the technical service providers and other relevant 3rd parties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Second Class Upper in B.Sc Social Science, Accounting, Finance or Management. Preferably, Engineering, or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience working in Trading & Marine sector in the Oil and Gas industry.
