We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Senior Associate, FX


Job Locations: Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna, and Lagos

Job Description

  • As a Senior Associate, in FX Trading, your primary responsibility will be to build and develop a trading strategy for all major FLW currencies in Africa & Europe.
  • Additionally, deal structuring would be involved to service our concierge merchants, as well as pricing for our products (i.e. remittance and others).

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a strategy for building and scaling a trading desk for EM for G10 currencies, closely managing liquidity across major positions.
  • Support the development and implement a hedging strategy across major markets.
  • Support the Structuring of treasury deals for large merchants across the globe.
  • Establish strong working partnerships externally with key banking partners, LPs & internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure standard daily and periodic reporting and maintain process documentation for all relevant reports including funding and certain liquidity metrics.
  • Support new bank onboarding & FX trading activities as needed.
  • Produce financial analysis and market trends reports on FX and liquidity exposures.
  • Support the establishment of pricing rules for remittance products and new products as required.
  • Support the development of a risk management policy to cover FX and liquidity risks.
  • Produce newsletters and think pieces for merchants.
  • Maintains knowledge of financial markets and regulatory updates
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards. related to and required by one’s duties.
  • Continuous evaluation of current processes vis-à-vis best industry practices
  • The role also involves continuous and effective engagement of relevant stakeholders in achieving operational efficiency and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Experience & understanding of international payments, banking systems, Crypto, and Defi workflow platforms.
  • Good understanding of the EM and G10 FX trading operations and local regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and relevant tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills and communication skills.
  • Work goal-oriented based on minimum supervision.
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standards
  • Experience or familiarity with all or some of Emerging Markets, FX, and remittances a plus.

2.) Manager, Reconciliations

Job Locations: Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna, and Lagos

The Role

  • We’re looking for a Manager, Reconciliations to join the Global Operations team to ensure that our payment commitments are delivered on time to our merchants.
  • The right candidate for this role will play a critical role in realizing this opportunity and simultaneously ensuring optimal validation of balances and the reasonableness of each of the accounts we use for our transactions.

Responsibilities
Conduct Reconciliation:

  • Lead and oversee the reconciliation process for financial records across all payment methods, including collections and payouts.
  • Examine incoming and outgoing funds to ensure accurate recording and processing under organizational standards and procedures.

Discrepancy Identification and Resolution:

  • Identify and investigate discrepancies or errors encountered during the reconciliation process.
  • Determine the root causes of discrepancies and work collaboratively with relevant teams to resolve them promptly.

Financial Analysis:

  • Research and analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues requiring further investigation.
  • Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the reconciliation process.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing the results of reconciliations, highlighting any issues or discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other teams, including finance, operations, and customer support, to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data across all areas of the business.
  • Work closely with our partners and internal teams to address issues and optimize reconciliation processes.

Recordkeeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations performed, ensuring proper documentation and filing for future reference and audit purposes.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the reconciliation function.
  • Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to reconciliation processes and procedures.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Undertake any other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of working experience in reconciliations or internal/external auditing
  • High attention to detail, well-organized, and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
  • Fintech and Client engagement experience.
  • Deep understanding of payments and knowledge of card scheme operations
  • Strong SQL & Excel skills (Macros, Pivot tables, etc.), ability to handle large amounts of data and compile detailed reports highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reconciliation methodologies.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage projects.

3.) Analyst, Switching Operations

Job Locations: Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna, and Lagos

The Role

  • As an Analyst, Switching Operations your primary responsibility is to ensure that all transactions through our different products get to their destination through the best available route, selecting from the variety of providers available.
  • Simply put, when our customers initiate payments, we ensure the transaction gets to the provider and update the provide response on our system.
  • Also ensure our systems are up, to always serve this purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Support Payout/Funds transfer processing in a timely manner.
  • Monitor transactions and ensure all rails are functioning optimally.
  • Working with the CX and TAM team in investigating and resolving complaints relating to payout through assigned resolution channels.
  • Assists with process improvement tasks such as creating processes, tracking progress and updating stakeholders.
  • Monitors transactions and for signs of fraudulent activity, promptly escalates potential issues to fraud team for investigation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve customer related issues.
  • Handles escalations to the team lead or relevant stakeholders and ensures resolution in line with relevant SLA.
  • Transaction Reconciliation.
  • Proactively think of strategic methods to improve process.
  • Any other duties assigned Process Improvement
  • Work with all sub-teams to identify various touchpoints and design processes to optimize same

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field.
