Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions:

1.) Senior Contracts Engineer

Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Permanent

Job Description


  • Select and prepare an adequate tendering and contracting strategy that ensures the best value is realized.
  • Provides expertise for Tenderer’s prequalification and processes bid list, including any pre-qualification exercises and evaluations required and obtains relevant management / tender board approvals.
  • Administers contractors’ request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractors’ procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality.
  • Reviews, advises and negotiates as part of constituted team, revised terms, variation order requests, change orders, claims in liaison with responsible management.
  • Assists project controls group in obtaining and assessing cost and progress data performance Provides relevant data and assist to the Contract Administration System and provides facilities for performance analysis of the historical tender / contract matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contracts position within oil and gas industry.
  • Must have held a similar role for at least 7 years.
  • Provide first line technical level contracting and procurement support to:
    • Facility Management.
    • Civil Infrastructure operations.
    • Production operations.
    • Finance.
    • NAPIMS/NCDMB.

2.) Category Manager (Surface Facilities Operations)

Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Permanent

Job Description

  • Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and Market trends regarding Surface Facilities Product and Service category.
  • Formulate strategic long term plan for Surface Facilities and Production operations product categories in consultation with internal business teams, Contractors, regulators, JV partners and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market intelligence, innovations, opportunities and trend within Surface facilities and production operations categories formulate appropriate contracting, sourcing strategies and contract management methods to enhance value.
  • Lead category management projects to optimize ranges and related procurements.
  • Work with Surface facilities and Production operations teams to Manage budget development for the category.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Business Management.
  •  +8 years of experience in contract management or administration in the oil and gas industry.
  • Professional certification e.g. MCIPS will be an advantage.
  • Mastery knowledge Nigerian upstream contacting processes and regulatory requirement.
  • Skilled in use of oracle ERP.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Contracting and procurement process, supplier relationship management and market /industry trend.
  • Knowledge, experience or good exposure to oil and gas facilities management and operations.
  • Strong experience of petroleum agreements and working with regulators e.g. Niums, NCDMB and NUPRC.

3.) Category Manager  (Wells & Subsurface Operations)

Job Description

  • Work with well construction and subsurface teams to manage budget development for the category.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Business Management.
