We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Market Development Manager


Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Market Development Manager will work with stakeholders and is responsible for managing and overseeing the business' commercial activities related to the bulk sales of goods.
  • You will work to develop and implement strategies that increase the company's sales and profits in the market.
  • Your primary aim is to maximize revenue and profitability through effective commercial management.
  • You will coordinate sales team leads and agents’ activities, account management, and maximize performance to meet sales targets 

What you will be doing

  • Develop strategies to drive user acquisition, retention, and sales across regions. 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of team Leads and market developers in their region. 
  • Analyse market trends and discover new opportunities for growth. 
  • Drive acquisition and retention of wholesalers while ensuring selling (bulk buy) and sellout (Sabi market) 
  • Manage the wholesalers store on the marketplace, assisting with shop setup, ensuring demand fulfilment by wholesalers to the retailers and adherence to the SLA timeline. 
  • Suggest value added services/products that will increase user acquisition and retention. 
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and participate in the decision-making process. 
  • Build and manage network of Social Enterprises, supermarkets.  
  • Coordinate market developers’ support including training, merchandising and below the line (BTL) marketing strategies, support, and execution. 
  • Develop & deploy business propositions that will be covert to revenue.  
  • Offer back-office support to the sales team leads. This will involve preparing quotation, price negotiation documents, projects manage deployment of customer activities.  
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate and expand market share in designated regions. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing wholesalers while actively seeking new partnerships to drive business growth. 
  • Cross-Selling and Up-Selling; introduce wholesalers to additional products or services that align with their goals, contributing to revenue growth. 
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Oversee the account management activity, managing customer escalations, providing management information and reports.

Special Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management or equivalent
  • 7 years of bulk sales management experience in an FMCG Distribution company or related field 
  • Prior experience in key distribution management, handling sellout from distributors to wholesalers. 
  • Capable of leading a team towards a set goal
  • Results-orientated and ability to pay close attention to details
  • Street smart and with a drive for sales
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.

2.) Distributor Account Manager

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Distributor Account Manager would be responsible for managing distributors on our platform.
  • From onboarding the distributors to managing the account of distributors.
  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining direct relationships with distributors, ensuring SLAs for order fulfillment is met, negotiation of prices, increased acceptance rate, assortment etc. to maintain value and growth of the business.

What you will be doing

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributor accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all their needs and inquiries.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with distributors, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships and maximizing profitability for the company.
  • Ensure SLA for order fulfillment is met.
  • Negotiate pricing terms with distributors to enhance profitability and boost our user acceptance rate.
  • Reconcile distributor accounts and actively drive account growth initiatives.
  • Oversee the order process, from placement to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to meet customer demands and maintain satisfaction.
  • Ensure acceptance rate above 90%, and fulfillment rate of 80%
  • Manage our product assortment process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and logistics to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of distributor-related initiatives.
  • Monitor distributor performance metrics and sales data, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement to drive sales growth and achieve targets.

Special Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Social Sciences, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 6 years of Distributor account management experience within the FMCG sector
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management and customer service skills and knowledge
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.

Job Summary

  • As the Regional Sales Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating sales activities within the FMCG retail space to maximize performance across the territories/clusters to meet sales targets.
  • You will coordinate sales team leads and agents’ activities and maximize performance across the state in order to meet sales targets.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Team Leads and Agents in their region.
  • Evaluate, monitor and manage the performance of team leads and agents in their region
  • Identify hiring needs, recruit and train new agents & team leads

4.) FMCG Distributor Manager

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Distributor Manager will identify and Source distributors / manufacturers across the nation, partner with new suppliers and understand their products.
  • Develop and manage the relationship between the different suppliers and the business to maintain value and growth of the business.
  • Bring in new suppliers as needed and keep accurate documentation of suppliers and their products.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Identify and Source distributors/manufacturers across the nation partnering with new suppliers and understanding their products
  • Management of portfolio, margins, fulfilment SLA etc
  • Conduct cost analysis on sourcing and distribution processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships between different suppliers and the business.
  • Ensure documentation and records are up to date
  • Keep update records of prices and stocks of products currently sold
  • Ensure distributors are fulfilling demand from the wholesalers with net 0 logistics margin
  • Lead pricing negotiation with suppliers to ensure wholesalers access best prices and manage contracts to ensure compliance.
