We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Junior Accountant
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• The Junior Accountant will support the Finance & Accounts team in daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a career in accounting and finance.

Job Description

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and journals.
• Post and reconcile transactions in the accounting software (invoices, receipts, expenses, payments).
• Confirmation of payments made by clients.
• Submission of monthly bank reconciliation statement.
• Managing and disbursing petty cash and office expenses.
• Compute, remit and file all PAYE records.
• Filling and remitting all other tax and financial obligations.
• Help ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory filings.
• Assist during internal and external audits.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Relevant accounting certification or part qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and financial principles
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proximity to Lekki/Ajah is a plus.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 Monthly.
