Logistics Head Job at Aquila

Aquila introduced the finance lease product at the origination of the company in 2005 and has since then developed tailor-made solutions for its diverse customer segments. The product is offered to retail clients (both individually and via associations and cooperatives schemes), small and medium- sized enterprises and small corporate.

An active collaboration of the agency is required to structure the transaction and ensure prevention of over-indebtedness by implementing checks on the client’s disposable income. To facilitate repayments, these are made directly from source.

This innovative scheme has so far provided access to equipment finance to close to 25,000 Nigerians. Typical assets which Aquila finances under this scheme are motorcycles, tricycles, laptops, refrigerators, freezers, and generators which support the generation of additional income to supplement the incomes of lower-ranking Nig.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Logistics Head

Job Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise Logistic Function(s):

• Ensure smooth running of the Logistics function with proper delegation and monitoring of task in line with corporate strategic objectives, and total compliance to corporate governance and good ethical practice

KYC verification of Drivers and their Surety:

• To ensure full capture of all existing drivers, verification and validation of identity, residence and past work records, and surety's details
• Ability to track down any particular driver and surety as at when required.

Recruitment of Drivers, Drivers documentation and licensing:

• To ensure all drivers have the legal requirement to drive vehicles, up to date driver’s license and test certificate
• To track the genuineness and validity of drivers documentations required by law to driver across Nigeria/ and enforcement of drivers undertaken to be sign whenever there is an update required

Training and retraining of drivers:

• Ensure drivers under go Aquila's and contract driving certification test, with other test from drivers institute (Oshodi Lagos) / Road safety to provide stand by drivers in pool

Preparation of Drivers payroll:

• Timely preparation of drivers payroll and charge against drivers pay, with no errors, omission or ghost workers

Drivers' outsourcing management:

• To ensure the effective and regular evaluation of the performances of engaged drivers in line with their terms of engagement. the welfare and training of the drivers for effectiveness on their jobs

Client services:

• To provide excellent service to Aquila clients who engage the services of the outsourced drivers

Corporate Governance and Risk Management:

• To ensure the development and implementation of processes and systems that will contribute to good Corporate Governance. (This include remittance of all statutory return, and documentations)

Performance management:

• To ensure the effective and regular evaluation of organisational performance, and to ensure that those targets set in relevant strategic plans are met.
• To ensure that corrective actions are taken in those instances were targets are not met
• To ensure the timely availability of the quarterly performance report. The focus should be on strategic progress, but Management of Aquila Leasing should also be alerted to changes within the strategic landscape
• Monthly strategy meetings.

Salary
N250,000 - N370,000 / month.
