CarePoint is a chain of healthcare facilities dedicated to offering the highest quality of health care services at affordable cost. CarePoint health facilities are situated across several local government and communities in Lagos state, specifically. We currently own two (2) facilities across Lagos and part of our mission is to expand.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Medical Doctor

Job Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary


  • Medical Officers are physicians who are responsible for providing preventive & palliative care, managing and treating acute & chronic illnesses and providing health education to patients of all ages within their assigned facility.
  • They will also provide support to the Facility’s surgical team within proven scope of experience.

Clinical Services:

  • Provide Primary Care Services as follows:
  • Examine patients for illness or injury; provide urgent/emergency medical services (including resuscitation, stabilization and assessment and diagnosis, treatment, and referral as necessary).
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results. Document treatments on digital charting software, adhering to CarePoint Hospital's medical charting standards, including ongoing progress notes and test results.
  • Refer or order laboratory tests, radiological and/or other diagnostic investigations, interpreting such results as required.
  • Discuss and analyze any possible side effects of prescribed medications with patients and/or their family members or caregivers.
  • Provide ongoing care and support for people with chronic and terminal conditions to reduce deterioration, increase independence and reduce suffering, referring, where relevant,to appropriate service providers.
  • Work closely with nurses, technicians, and other medical staff to contribute to the clinical team’ ability to deliver excellent patient services and support efficient management, coordination and the planning, delivery & evaluation of quality patient care.
  • Assess the urgency and severity of presenting problems through history-taking, examination, and investigation. respond to patients' medical/health problems by referring to their history.
  • Carry out investigation and diagnosis, plan and provide treatment to patients in the form of medicines and other therapies, referring them to specialist providers as necessary or appropriate.
  • Recommend and, where appropriate, conduct appropriate patient treatment or intervention procedures or options, including but not limited to prescribing, minor surgery and other general practice procedures, counselling, psychological interventions, advising and education.
  • Provide health education, counselling and information to patients and their families or caregivers regarding their medical condition(s), treatment options and on how to improve their health through preventative care strategies of nutrition, exercise, and hygiene.

Administrative:

  • Practice active listening and excellent communication skills with patients, their families, and facility staff, addressing patient concerns as the highest priority.
  • Participate in the weekly work schedules and call duty rosters.
  • Comply with all CarePoint clinical, billing & medical records protocols and other company policies.
  • Support teamwork by promptly communicating appropriate information, responding to requests,and participating in team problem-solving efforts.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Protect patients and Hospital employees by adhering to established health and safety policies regarding infection-control policies and protocols, handling of instruments, storage of drugs, disposal of sharps and other potentially dangerous equipment and Controlled Substance regulations.
  • Ensure quality of care and protect the Hospital Community by adhering to professional standards,Hospital policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements and Safe Care standards;actively participate in the SafeCare quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain the level of CME points required to retain relevant professional accreditations and the ability to practice.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Principal or Senior Medical Officers or Clinical Director.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 2 - 7 years of relevant work experience.

Salary
N250,000 - N270,000 Monthly.

2.) Pharmacy Technician

Job Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Pharmacy technician is responsible for helping the Hospital Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications to patients undergoing treatment in the Hospital.
  • They also help the Pharmacist ensure the Branch Pharmacy has the right amount of inventory to meet patient needs and undertake other tasks under the supervision of the Hospital Pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the Hospital’s Pharmacy runs smoothly.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical:

  • Accepting written prescriptions or refill requests from patients; reviewing prescription information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Complete patients’ paperwork related to the filling of prescription when required.
  • Answer basic patient questions how to use their medicines safely when they return home or tothe Ward. Explain how to reduce medication side effects. Listen to all patients’ concerns; escalating such concerns to the Branch Pharmacist or the Head, Pharmacy Services when necessary.
  • Assemble/prepare, label and dispense medications to patients, using the correct dosages, formulation & materials for each individual patient.
  • Obtain Pharmacist’s approval on each patients’ prescription before final dispensing of medications to patients.
  • Take assigned Call Duty as per Hospital/Department guidelines.

Clerical:

  • Clean and sterilize surfaces & equipment and prepare the Pharmacy for opening or before each new shift.
  • Ensure the Hospital Pharmacy is tidy and properly arranged to make the identification of products faster & easier and medicines are stored appropriately and securely.
  • Complete and/or update relevant patient documentation in their File and/or electronic Patient Information (PIS) system.
  • Rotate stock, remove expired medications and carry out other Pharmacy inventory control duties.
  • Prepare & submit accurate reports on medication/consumables use during a given period (weekly, monthly etc.).
  • Assist the Hospital Pharmacist (or in their absence) to conduct re-ordering, receiving, stocking and labelling medications & related products; monitoring the condition &quantity of such items to prevent stock-out, overstocking, deterioration or expiration.
  • Assist the Hospital Pharmacist with processing insurance (HMO) claims as needed.
  • Attend and participate in various Unit, Facility or Department meetings as required. Cooperate with the Hospital Pharmacist and/or Hospital Management to support the smooth running of general Hospital Operations in one’s assigned Facility.

Remuneration
N60,000 - N70,000 Monthly.

3.) Customer Service Officer

Job Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

job Summary

  • The role is Responsible for making sure the image of CarePoint is properly protected through warm interaction with clients/patients and visitors, especially unfriendly, irate and seemingly dissatisfied ones. The Receptionist is expected to work under minimal supervision in order to ensure smooth running of the hospital.

Job Description

  • Greeting and welcoming patients with Clients, vendors, and employees; being the first point of contact at the Hospital.
  • Registration of private, corporate and HMO clients
  • sending of patient data to nurses for vital
  • Attending to incoming calls immediately the phone rings, taking messages and respond to queries appropriately.
  • Interface with the housekeeper(s), ensuring proper hygiene of front desk/waiting area of hospital premises.
  • Co-ordinate/Book appointments on behalf of Clients with Clinical Staff, ensuring reminders are sent to both parties (Clinical staff & Clients) prior to the appointment booked.
  • Manage the hospital schedule (calendars, visits, and appointments) for the Hospital seamlessly and efficiently to ensure optimal use of time.
  • Ensure patient's files are returned to Records officer after use for proper filing, ensuring all records are kept up to date, shredding, dispose confidential documents, etc.
  • Ensure all Clients electronic records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure that no patient is left standing at the front desk office without attending to them.
  • Ensure that no patient is turned back without receiving treatment except with the full consent of your supervisor or any other superior officers.
  • Letters, memos, and other documents are clearly and well-typed and printed.
  • Assist in developing clients’ reports, memos and other analysis and communication materials for internal and external use using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Plans own workload to anticipate and balance priorities, thus optimizing output.
  • Writing the hand-over note and calculating daily attendance statistics in the provided records book for the previous day.
  • Ensure that information is properly disseminated to all patients via mail, email, text messages and phone calls etc.
  • To carry out other duties as assigned by the HR, Senior Administrative Officer, Head of Nursing Services.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum academic qualification of OND in Management/Administration or Public Relations
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in the health sector.

4.) ICT Officer

Job Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

Operations Management

  • Administration and oversight of all ICT functions.
  • Providing technical support across the company
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, software, telecoms, and networks
  • Diagnosing, repairing faults and resolving network issues.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Speaking to customers (staff) to quickly get to the root of their problem.
  • Providing timely and accurate customer (staff) feedback.
  • Regularly scheduled maintenance on networks, hardware and software.
  • Ensuring security of hardware, network and data with proper security policies and software.
  • Creation, implementation, and review of disaster prevention and recovery policies
  • Talking customers (staff) through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
  • Following up with vendors/clients to ensure the problem is resolved.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as/when necessary.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum academic qualification of a B.Sc. in Computer Science or any related course.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Full working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package is required especially with spreadsheet software (Excel)

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills are required for this role
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, ICT helpdesk, and customer
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of the organization's infrastructure
  • ITIL V3, Cisco, CompTIA+ or BCNE training.
  • Having a working knowledge of common information technologies and systems
  • Managing multiple users simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
  • Ability to set up and configure laptop/desktop hardware
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
  • Communicating smoothly to the staff when & while resolving their technical issues.
  • Troubleshooting common ICT problems

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 monthly.
