Job Position: Payroll Specialist

Job Location: Nigeria (Hybrid)

Job Description

  • We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will safeguard the accuracy and reliability of our entire payroll cycle: Coordinating inputs, partnering with People & Culture, Finance, and our external provider, and offering clear guidance to employees and managers on all payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll data from multiple internal sources.
  • Submit accurate inputs to the external payroll provider and follow the payroll calendar and statutory deadlines.
  • Perform pre- and post-payroll checks, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Support internal/external audits and reporting requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for payroll questions; resolve discrepancies, retro adjustments, and employee case topics (incl. M4, pension records, coordination with PIO/RFZO).
  • Communicate payroll process updates, timelines, and rules to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the external payroll provider to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain payroll documentation in line with GDPR and internal policies.
  • Support Workday and Time & Attendance data accuracy and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • University Degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Experience working with payroll providers and payroll systems.
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, taxes, social contributions, and labor legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability, service-oriented communication skills.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (formulas, pivots, data validation).
