Job Position: Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics Officer

Job Location: Abuja
Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess procurement needs and develop strategies for sourcing materials, equipment, and services.
  • Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and minimize disruptions to project timelines.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement, inventory, and logistics activities to internal stakeholders, including preparing reports and presentations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure efficient movement of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or logistics roles.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices, including supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software/systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy or related industries is a plus.
