About the Role


  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with a strong background in the construction industry.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for various construction projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies in line with project requirements.
  • Source and evaluate reliable suppliers, contractors, and vendors within the construction sector.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to forecast procurement needs.
  • Monitor market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations in the construction industry.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Establish strong vendor relationships to guarantee a continuous supply and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Procurement Officer in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and vendor networks.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
