Our client a Residence and Development Company is looking to fill the position of Project Manager - Construction

Job Position: PROJECT MANAGER- Construction

Location: LEKKI - SANGOTEDO, LAGOS

Job Description

- Negotiating with contractors and suppliers

- Directing a multi-disciplinary team

- Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way

- Overseeing several projects at the same time

- Ensuring that each stage of projects happens on time, on budget and to a high standard quality.

- Reporting regularly on progress to the clients and stakeholders

- Reporting daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly in line with the reporting policies to management

- Coordinating market and customer research

- Resolving any issues or delays on project sites

- Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction

- Writing bids for tender

- Managing several projects simultaneously with the support of junior project managers/ site supervisors.

- Defining the project scope

- Creating construction estimates based on a material take-off (MTO)

- Creating and managing construction project budget

- Creating a construction project management plan

- Overseeing the performance of the general contractor, site manager and other members of the construction team

- Obtaining building permits, licenses and meet code regulations

- Maintaining health and safety standards on project sites

Qualifications and Requirements

- Masters / BSc Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Building Technology or Construction Management from a recognised Institution

- 5-10 years working experience post NYSC in construction methods and technologies,and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.

- Excellent conversations/reporting skills

- Conflict and crisis management

- Outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Strong leadership skills.

- Must be Lagos based
