An indigenous Well Services company is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates for the position below:
Job Position: QHSE Coordinator
Job Location: Rivers
Responsibilities
- Ensures operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in conformance to the requirements of industry and other third-party standards.
- Develop an annual corporate QHSE Audit Program.
- Builds effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and partners to support the Company's core QHSE values.
- Conduct integrated QHSE audits.
- Files QHSE documents and participates in job risk analysis and continual improvement.
- Develop annual budgets for QHSE activities.
- Develop and maintain corporate QHSE procedures, Quality Plan for projects and maintain the organization’s Quality Manual.
- Provide QHSE support and input for tenders and bids.
- Review and help to develop QHSE competence standards within the department and the organization.
- Monitor changes to legislation and assess the impact on the business.
- Review and analyze data from audits, accident investigations, near misses, concessions, defect reports and customer complaints to identify adverse trends and implement preventive action.
- Coordinate the organization’s Management Review process.
- Identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities and monitor progress.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Engineering and relevant professional certification (NEBOSH, Lead Auditor qualification and so on).
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing and maintaining management systems for QHSE in the Oil and Gas industry.
- An experienced people manager with the ability to lead, coach and mentor teams.
- Must have analytical experience, be accurate with statistics and written reports, well organized and exercise sound judgment in decision making.
- Has in-depth understanding of international standards and procedures and makes appropriate decisions based on this knowledge.
- Has experience in accident and incident investigation.
