Dozzy Oil & Gas Limited is an Indigenous company with core business activity in the downstream petroleum products marketing and distribution which involves procurement of various petroleum products and industrial raw materials, manufacturing of lubricants, storage, sales and distribution of petroleum products nationwide.

Job Position: Safety Officer
Job Location: Anambra

Job Summary


  • To ensure compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines, advises on safety tips, conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to create a safety workplace.

Job Description

  • Creating and implementing workplace health and safety plans and procedures.
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to managers and employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
  • Evaluating health and safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines.
  • Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping around the offices, production floors, loading bay, gantry, warehouses, stores, labs, cloak rooms, fuel stations.
  • Check all fire safety equipment daily to ensure they are in good working conditions.
  • Conduct drills on emergency response procedures and plans and other safety training.
  • Monitoring employee conformity to safety laws and policies.
  • Investigating accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents.
  • Correct unsafe acts such as horseplay or the taking of unnecessary risks and unsafe conditions.
  • Managing, Coordinating and Liaising with certification bodies, relevant regulatory agencies and law enforcement agencies as regards Safety.
  • Conducts risk assessments/job hazard analysis and recommend control measures to ensure these risks are reduced to as low as reasonably practicable in all aspects of the group operations.

Qualification & Experience

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification in any field with 5years & above experience as a safety officer.
  • ISPON certification and other related Safety certification is required.

  • Good job knowledge, accountability for Team spirit, Time management with proper commitment to work, Good Communication Skills, Endearing Behavior, Ability of management with Superiors, Subordinates, peers and external agencies. Ability to work under stress, Sound knowledge of Computer & MS Suites., Leadership Skill

Remuneration / Benefits

  • N150,000 & above (Very attractive and negotiable).
