We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Senior Accountant
Job Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the Finance Team;
• Preparing payment schedules, verification of bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliation and monthly internal financial reports to assist managers with planning, and forecasting.
• Analyzing working capital and cash flow, monitoring debt collections to ensure timely payment from clients
• Actively participating in key finance & accounting processes like annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, balance sheet business review, timely submission of various financial reports and so on
• Timely producing financial results and all variances and sharing the same with the HOD.
• Liaison with Local Government and also Banks for fund management.
• Reviewed the P&L and balance sheet items on a monthly basis as well as underlying account reconciliations to ensure integrity of the data and identify potential cost savings also schedule needs to be prepared where ever required.
• Verifying Capex and Fixed Assets and preparing the depreciation schedule attached to it.
• Administering import costing & forex exchange accounting & GRN process.
• Generating the Variation report to find & analyze the root cause of such variation Performing
• VAT return and assessment and tax return and assessment Leading the process of inventory management, perpetual inventory management and physical stock checking stock and informing to respective department head along with own HOD.
• Liaison with internal Auditors, Statutory Auditors, Tax auditors, and FIRS Auditors.
• Supervising other costing-related matters and financial-related matters like financial closing, salary processing, tax assessment Tax Audit, Payroll Accounting, Product Costing, and Treasury Operations.
• Training to team members at regular intervals on the points where they have issues.
• Insurance renewal on time and cover the product and asset for insurance.
• Any other work which is given by your reporting boss

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
• 12 - 18 years of work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices specific to the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software commonly used in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in budgeting and financial forecasting for manufacturing operations.
• Extensive experience in preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for manufacturing companies.
• Strong expertise in cost accounting methodologies and systems used in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in managing inventory accounting, including valuation, cost flow assumptions, and periodic inventory counts.
• Familiarity with auditing procedures and internal control measures specific to the manufacturing industry.

Salary
N400,000 -N500,000 Monthly.
