Job Summary

  • The Site Environmental Manager is responsible for the day to day people management of their designated site.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Manages department Supervisors to communicate and facilitate daily work of the Operations departments.
  • Performs daily walk through of manufacturing facility to ensure staff has the resources they need to complete their jobs.
  • Leads and participates in daily operations meeting, providing status updates and any operation related concerns.
  • Partners with department supervisors to maintain and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintains work efficiencies through effective allocation of personnel, equipment, and raw material resources, as well as proper planning and scheduling.
  • Creates and fosters a positive, team environment within departments and across the company.
  • Proactively addresses all performance and/or behavior concerns, notifying Human Resources when necessary.
  • Monitors and recommends improvements in processes to Technical Managers and Change Control Board to increase efficiency reduce cost and improve quality/results.
  • Implement or oversee environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.
  • Partners with Equipment Maintenance Specialist to troubleshoot any equipment related concerns.
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience of supervisory/ management experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate across departments and locations.
