Superintendent Pharmacist Job at PDI Pharmacy Plus

Job Position: Superintendent Pharmacist
Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities


  • The Pharmacist will supervise all operations within the pharmacy as well as provide pharmacy services to customers
  • Assess customer needs and recommend suitable promoted products from time to time.
  • Interpret prescriptions from affiliated doctors and manage referrals from medical labs to prescribe our products and retail outlets, by utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis.
  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions, and symposium circuits
  • Work with the sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
  • Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback
  • Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest medical data.
  • Dispense prescription medicines to the public. Organize health awareness events to educate the general public
  • Check dosage and ensure that medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labeled Supervise the preparation of any medicines
  • Liaise with doctors about prescriptions
  • Sell over-the-counter medicines
  • Advise the customers/patients on the treatment of minor ailments
  • Advise patients of any adverse side-effects of medicines or potential interactions with other Medicines/treatments
  • Counsel patients to understand how their medicines work and why they have to take them
  • Provide support to patients starting certain medicines to treat long-term conditions
  • Offer specialists health checks, such as blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring and diabetes screening
  • Manage, supervise and train pharmacy support staff
  • Monitor inventory and low or out-of-stock items to prepare purchase orders Prevent expiry through proactive dispensing of near expiry drugs
  • Keep up-to-date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs, and their uses.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience.
